## Description

The Tax Software Specialist plays a key role in supporting the development and maintenance of state and local premium tax returns across multiple software applications. This position involves researching tax requirements, updating calculations, testing changes, and ensuring overall accuracy within our systems., * Develop state and local premium tax returns and supplemental forms using proprietary development tools, supporting applications built in both Java and Kotlin within IntelliJ-based environments

 * Research, analyze, and implement tax return changes as necessary
 * Review and update existing logic to ensure accurate tax calculations
 * Test changes prior to development and production releases
 * Provide product support via phone and email while maintaining professional client relationships
 * Maintain state specific documentation for tax laws, tax positions, and standards
 * Communicate with state taxing authorities regarding tax returns and legislative developments
 * Identify and recommend enhancements to software functionality and internal processes
 * Meet deadlines and commitments
 * Perform other duties as needed or required
