Agent guide: [/agents.md](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/agents.md). --- # IMS Core Engineer-3 - **Company:** Samsung - **Location:** Reading, UK - **Contract:** Permanent contract - **Skills:** LTE (Telecommunication), Application Services, JIRA, Automation of Tests, Data as a Services, Load Testing, Log Files, Open Web Application Security, PuTTY, E2e Testing, Test Execution Engine, Strategies of Testing, Wireshark, Information Technology, Vmware - **Published:** July 31, 2026 - **Apply:** https://uk.indeed.com/viewjob?jk=28c34f27e45fa7e3 ## About the Role * A comprehensive background knowledge in IMS Core network technologies, in particular IMS Voice/Video and Data features. * Extensive expertise of IMS and VoLTE architecture, interfaces and protocols, ideally with hands on knowledge of testing Voice, Video and Data services when deployed on Commercial VoLTE networks * Extensive knowledge of LTE (QCIs/5QI) testing tools: Wireshark tracing and system log analysis of SIP, RTP, RTCP, Diameter interactions, Load testing tools (IXIA, Viavi, Spirent), XCAL,XCAP,QXDM, Jira, HPQC, Logcat/Putty. * SW lifecycle testing for VNF architecture deployments on VMware * Expertise in e2e troubleshooting for LTE and TETRA networks and call flows. * In depth knowledge of 3GPP specifications and Mission Critical features. * Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills with written and spoken English. * Ability to maintain high standards or work and remain adaptable to changes in a dynamic working environment. * You have an Engineering degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecoms or a related field. * Awareness of NIST, OWASP and UK TSR requirements and how they impact delivery and testing of secure networks * Willing to support an on-call rota as required. * Ability to work for extended periods at customer locations to support project activities What does success look like? * Highly motivated and self driven to be an effective member of a small team of test experts. * Ability to execute complex test activities to defined project and test plan milestones. * Collaborate with PMO functions to deliver timely updates on project achievements and ensure any risks are categorised and resolved in the appropriate reports. * Develop strong and effective working relationship with customers and partners. * Be the SME for in-depth technical investigation across E2E architectures for both LTE and TETRA networks. ## Description Why join our team? The IMS Core Engineers sit across the Support, Test and Delivery teams under the leadership of the respective Lead Delivery Manager and play a key role in SNEs mission as the team who lead the testing, performance, availability and support of our products, meeting customer expectations, contractual milestones and SLAs.
