## About the Role

+ Interpersonal skills with high quality written and verbal communication
 + Strong analytical and conceptual skills
 + Fluent in English and Spanish
 + Strong knowledge of Systems related technologies, including cloud and on premise systems deployment and configuration (MS Servers, Azure, Directory Services, Email Services, etc.), load balancing, services, as well as storage management, and backup policies management., + Minimum of 5 years of experience at tech systems engineer in similar or related positions
 + Previous experience in IT Operations or similar technology functions
 + Strong technology background
Qualifications

 + Bachelor's degree in computer science, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
 + MS Systems related certifications are a must (AZ104, etc.)
 + Have wide experience on cloud systems base on Azure (IaaS,…).
 + Have wide experience on AD, Exchange, O365, ADFS, GPO, and SSO systems
 + Knowledge of system security, Storage, data backup/recovery
 + Have experience in MS platforms (Win 7/8/10).
 + Familiar with Network topologies, TCP /IP protocols.
 + Diagnose and resolve problems quickly
 + IT Operation framework and Agile ways of working certifications are highly desirable

## Description

The Corporate IT Matter Subject Expert for Systems forms a part of the team of engineers that are focus on Systems related technologies, within the wider Corporate Systems team. The role involves driving the implementation, operation and improvement of the systems tech stack and practices, including compute, storage, identity and security, focusing on our corporate systems reliability, scalability, and efficiency. Collaborates closely with the rest of the Technology, Corporate and Platform teams to align on and drive the Corporate IT compute system. The ultimate goal is to build and run a reliable, scalable, and secure set of compute capabilities in Hotelbeds while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
Accountabilities and responsibilities

 + Form a part of the Corporate IT Systems team, providing support in day-to-day activities delivering high-quality results and meeting the service targets.
 + Collaborate with the Corporate Systems Lead and other technology platforms teams to align on the corporate IT roadmap and strategy.
 + Driving the strategic compute initiatives within the technology platform, focusing on on-premises and cloud compute capabilities, storage, identity and security at systems meeting the delivery deadlines
 + Apply best practices, implement standardized and automated processes, and ensure effective provision of computing services, and related monitoring and troubleshooting.
 + Provide technical support to troubleshoot and resolve computing services related issues. Act as an escalation point for complex technical challenges, driving timely resolutions and ensuring minimal impact to operations.
 + Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies related to the computing services provided. Evaluate and recommend the adoption of new tools, technologies, and methodologies that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
 + Be a part of a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team. Participate in the team knowledge sharing, take advances about learning opportunities, and impulse your skills in base of experimentation and creative problem-solving.
 + Participate in discussions and decision-making processes regarding the overall corporate IT architecture and direction.
Position dimensions

 + Customer numbers (if applicable): The internal customers of the computing services provided are internal Hotelbeds employees that leverage these capabilities that provide compute capabilities, storage, identity and security at systems to all of them in our offices and at home (remote users) that provide service to all our customers and suppliers as well as internal employees worldwide.
 + Geographical scope: the role is globally responsible for the Hotelbeds Systems services in the scope of Corporate IT, providing worldwide service from a computing perspective. Team is mostly located in Palma de Mallorca, with a hybrid setup across Spain and expanding throughout Europe where possible or needed.
 + Financial target: The Corporate IT budget controls all the corporate compute assets in a global way. The Systems team provides compute capabilities, storage, identity and security at systems for all Hotelbeds employees, if these compute services are not available the rest of the teams will not be able to provide service to the business, customers and suppliers.
 + Level of contribution to above Target: the systems team provides the needed computing related capabilities needed to run all Hotelbeds systems for internally users.
Key stakeholders
Reporting directly to the Corporate Systems Lead and in constant daily/weekly contact to keep alignment across the rest of the technology platform teams and overall goals.
Interacting with the rest of Corporate IT teams daily/weekly.
Interacting with other teams across technology, to get the better solution for daily tasks being aligned on requirements, priorities, deliverables, and service levels in Corporate Systems Team., + Balance between reliability and the ability to deploy new functionalities.

 + Overcome resistance and drive adoption of new technologies and processes.
 + Ensure provided solutions meet security and compliance requirements.
 + Resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
 + Effectively communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
 + Stay updated with the latest trends in Systems related technologies.
