## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related technical field.

 * At least 5 years of experience developing or supporting automated test systems in a manufacturing, NPI, or design-verification environment.

 * Strong experience with Python for test software development, including instrument control, data acquisition, calibration, and test automation.

 * Familiarity with lab instruments used in optical/electrical test environments, such as optical power meters, attenuators, switches, laser sources, etc.

 * Source-control skills using either Git, SVN, or Perforce.

Preferred Qualifications:

 * Experience designing test software for coherent optical/transceiver products or similar photonics hardware.
 * Any experience with NI LabVIEW/TestStand for test software development, including instrument control, data acquisition, calibration, and test automation.

 * Experience supporting production test stations, sustaining engineering, or global manufacturing.

 * Experience developing DVT, characterization, regression, or manufacturing test plans.
 * Knowledge of calibration methods, gage R&R, and yield improvement analysis.

## Description

Join the Optics Operations team in developing component test software solutions and infrastructure supporting manufacturing operations across the globe. You will work with cross-functional teams including Test Engineering, Product Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to enable reliable, scalable, and maintainable test solutions., * Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot test system control software for optical component test processes.

 * Diagnose and resolve issues involving test software, fixtures, instrumentation, and device behavior.
 * Analyze test processes to make software-based cycle-time improvements through data-driven, regression-tested methods.
 * Analyze test data, investigate trends and failures, and document results in support of quality and production readiness.
 * Drive continuous improvement in test software architecture, maintainability, reuse, and operator effectiveness.
