Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred. * Bachelor Degree * Minimum EIGHT (8) years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting complex enterprise IT systems. * Minimum FIVE (5) years of hands-on AWS engineering and architecture experience. * Recent hands-on AWS engineering experience deploying, configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting enterprise cloud environments. Candidates must have built and supported AWS solutions directly, not solely provided architecture or advisory services. * Experience serving in senior cloud engineering, systems engineering, infrastructure engineering, cloud architecture, or solutions architecture roles. * Strong experience with core AWS services, including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, EBS/EFS, RDS, Elastic Load Balancing, KMS, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and backup/disaster recovery services. * Experience implementing AWS environments, not only creating architecture documentation. * Experience designing and supporting multi-account, multi-environment, or multi-tenant cloud environments. * Experience planning and executing cloud modernization and migration initiatives. * Strong database and data platform experience including SQL-based systems, relational databases, data migration, and data lifecycle management. * Familiarity with enterprise data integration, reporting, compliance, audit, or analytics-supporting architectures. * Experience supporting federal compliance environments, including NIST 800-53, RMF, STIGs, ATO processes, continuous monitoring, audit, and security controls. * Experience supporting hybrid, secured, restricted, or enclave environments. * Strong knowledge of Linux, Windows, enterprise networking, DNS, firewalls, proxies, identity federation, load balancing, monitoring, encryption, backup, and recovery. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Active Federal or DoD Top Secret clearance. * AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect Associate/Professional, Security Specialty, Database Specialty, or Data Analytics Specialty. * Experience supporting federal law enforcement, national security, intelligence, or other highly regulated government environments. * Experience with AWS GovCloud. * Experience with AWS Organizations, Control Tower, Service Catalog, and enterprise cloud governance frameworks. * Experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation, and CI/CD tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps. * Experience with data governance, metadata management, lineage, retention policies, and secure data-sharing capabilities. * Experience designing highly available architectures and disaster recovery solutions. * Experience with FinOps, tagging strategies, cloud cost management, and performance optimization. ## Description Guidehouse is seeking a Senior to support a large-scale federal cloud modernization initiative. This role requires a highly technical, hands-on cloud engineering professional capable of designing, implementing, and supporting secure AWS environments in mission-critical enterprise environments.
