Strong programming skill in C/C++ and Perl.

Considerable experience in UNIX System Administration in a large networked environment, virtualization, and troubleshooting. Experience installing and administering HPCC clusters to include installation and troubleshooting. Experience administering databases from various vendors such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL, etc.
Additional Considerations (supplemental knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, licensure, certification)
UNIX administration certification, DBA certification, and IT security certification. Considerable knowledge in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

## Description

The incumbent in this position is responsible for maintaining and administering the department's UNIX file servers and networks.
