## About the Role

* Must have an active TS/SCI with Poly

 * Must have at least an IAT Level II Certification: Such as Security+

 * Must be willing to participate in weekly day support hours rotation - 7-3, 8-4, 9-5, 10-6 and an after-hours on-call support rotation

 * 2-4 years of hands-on experience in a system or IT support role

 * Strong knowledge and experience with command line in a Unix Environment, Windows Server, Windows desktop, Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy

 * Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware)

 * Proficiency in troubleshooting custom software, network connectivity and performance issues

 * Strong understanding of security best practices and data protection

 * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Desired :

 * Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Python, Bash, etc.)

 * Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, HelpNow, Jira, Confluence)

 * Exposure to ITIL practices or formal change management best practices

 * Prior experience supporting real-time operations/Mission Critical infrastructure

 * Familiarity with CISCO switches and firewalls

 * Familiarity and experience with infrastructure monitoring tools (SCOM preferred)

## Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Tier 2 System Administrator to join our growing IT team. In this role, you will serve as an escalation point for Tier 1 support and be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting mission critical IT systems, supporting end users, and ensuring the security and performance of our infrastructure. This position is ideal for a tech-savvy professional with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for technology.

 * Provide advanced technical support for hardware, software, database, custom software and network-related issues escalated from Tier 1.

 * Administer and maintain servers (Windows, Linux, Solaris), desktops and applications, printers and peripheral equipment, Active Directory and virtual environments (VMware).

 * Perform system health checks, monitor system performance and ensure backups are running for restoration capability.

 * Assist in onboarding/offboarding of users, including account setup and access controls.

 * Document technical issues, solutions, and processes in ticketing systems and knowledge bases.
