Essential Experience * Proven experience as a Product Owner within Agile environments. * Strong requirements gathering and stakeholder management capability. * Experience running workshops and discovery sessions. * Ability to translate complex technical and business requirements into product outcomes. * Experience managing product backlogs, roadmaps, and prioritisation activities. * Strong communication and influencing skills. Domain Expertise Ideally, you'll have experience in: * Customer Identity & Access Management (CIAM) * Identity & Access Management (IAM) * Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) * Single Sign-On (SSO) * Authentication and Authorisation * Digital Identity Services * Fraud Prevention or Cyber Security, * Strong Customer IAM experience. * Proven success delivering identity or authentication products. * Enthusiasm for the identity and security domain. * A willingness to learn and develop expertise in emerging technologies. * Experience working through complex delivery challenges and recovering products or programmes that have faced obstacles. * The ability to build credibility with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. ## Description We're currently supporting a major financial services organisation in the search for a Product Owner to join a growing Identity Services function. This role sits within a strategic programme focused on expanding and modernising the bank's Customer Identity & Access Management (CIAM) capabilities across multiple customer franchises. The team is responsible for delivering secure, scalable authentication services that balance customer experience, fraud prevention, and regulatory requirements. This is a backfill position within an established team and offers the opportunity to work on high-profile identity products including Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Single Sign-On (SSO), authentication decisioning, digital trust services and emerging fraud prevention technologies such as deepfake detection. The Role As Product Owner, you'll own the vision, roadmap, and backlog for key identity services, working closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, architects, security specialists and vendors to deliver strategic authentication capabilities. You'll facilitate discovery sessions, gather and refine requirements from stakeholders across the organisation and ensure customer, security and business needs are translated into clear product outcomes. Key responsibilities include: * Own and prioritise the product backlog for identity and authentication services. * Define and manage product roadmaps aligned to strategic objectives. * Gather and refine requirements through stakeholder workshops and discovery sessions. * Translate business and technical requirements into features, epics, and user stories. * Partner with engineering, architecture, fraud, and security teams to drive delivery. * Support expansion of authentication and digital identity capabilities across multiple customer franchises. * Balance customer experience, security, resilience, and commercial objectives. * Work within Agile delivery teams and contribute to ongoing product evolution., Candidates don't need to be hands-on engineers but should be comfortable operating within a highly technical environment and understand concepts such as: * Cloud platforms- OCP * APIs and API-driven architecture * API Gateway technologies such as Tyk * Modern authentication platforms * Identity services architecture * The candidate needs to have strong technical adaptation experience and be able to have detailed technical conversations. Backgrounds We Would Consider While financial services experience would be beneficial, we're open to candidates from other large-scale, customer-focused environments where identity and authentication are critical.
