## Description

* Building scalable backend services using Python
 * Designing robust, secure APIs powering critical customer-facing systems
 * Breaking down and modernising legacy applications into distributed services
 * Working on systems processing millions of events every day with high availability requirements
 * Writing clean, well-tested, maintainable code following engineering best practice
 * Participating in architecture discussions and technical design
 * Mentoring engineers through code reviews and technical guidance
 * Driving quality through testing, CI/CD and continuous improvement
 * Collaborating with Product, Delivery and Architecture teams to deliver new features, * Python
 * REST API development
 * Distributed systems or microservices
 * SQL databases
 * Cloud platforms (ideally Azure)
 * CI/CD pipelines
 * Test-driven development and automated testing
 * Building scalable production systems

Experience modernising legacy applications or working within event-driven architectures would be particularly valuable.
