Essential

 * Strong technical background in SQL Server.
 * Experience of enterprise-scale application development.
 * Proven experience leading and developing software engineering teams.
 * Strong understanding of software architecture, agile delivery methodologies and DevOps principles.
 * Demonstrable track record of delivering complex software solutions in a commercial environment.
 * Experience in stakeholder management, delivery planning and balancing technical priorities with business needs.

Desirable

 * Background in C# and .NET.
 * Experience working with financial, accounting or other business-critical systems.
 * Experience with CI/CD environments, automated testing and modern release practices., * A confident and credible leader with strong communication and relationship-building skills.
 * Analytical, commercially aware and comfortable making sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
 * A pragmatic problem-solver with a strong focus on delivery, quality and continuous improvement.
 * Able to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
 * Resilient, collaborative and capable of balancing strategic thinking with hands-on leadership.
