Education/Certifications * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline preferred. * Microsoft SQL Server or other RDBMS certifications a plus. * iManage Work ICSE certifications a plus. * Boomi Certifications a plus ## Description The Sr. Engineer, Enterprise Data Systems works directly with IS management and staff to create, manage, and maintain all Microsoft SQL Server database systems across the Firm and support related applications as needed. This role is responsible for maximizing application availability by minimizing database and application downtime, and for supporting the development, testing, integration, maintenance, and ongoing optimization of Firm systems that rely on SQL Server., * Monitor and maintain all SQL instances and databases to maximize system availability. * Promptly diagnose and resolve any issues as they arise, providing support to application owners as needed. * Configure and install Microsoft SQL Server, including log shipping, database mirroring, and AlwaysOn Availability Group setup. * Proactively manage and monitor SQL Server infrastructure, assisting teams to tune performance and remediate any issues utilizing the Database infrastructure. * Manage and maintain the Firm's Document Management System (iManage DMS), and the underlying databases, including periodic updates and enhancements. * Design, implement, and maintain data integrations between firm systems while enforcing data consistency. * Develop and update Power BI or SSRS reports based on user requirements and troubleshoot data refreshes. * Independently manage projects, adhering to established timelines and budget limits. * Manage ticketing queue, route, and resolve user requests in a timely manner. * Participate in weekend and after-hours on-call support. * Provide technical guidance to IS staff and managers, and outside vendors and consultants on the architecture and configuration of new and existing SQL systems and their corresponding applications.
