This role is focused on the compute and OS layer of the migration - standing up, configuring, and hardening EC2 instances and administering the Linux systems that run our re-hosted applications. You will work closely with the rest of the migration team to plan cutover waves, right-size compute, and ensure migrated servers are secure, patched, and production-ready from day one on AWS. The opportunity: * Plan and execute lift-and-shift migration of on-premises servers to Amazon EC2 * Build and maintain custom AMIs, instance configurations, and Auto Scaling groups for migrated workloads * Administer Linux servers - provisioning, patching, performance tuning, and troubleshooting - across the fleet * Configure supporting networking and security for EC2 workloads (VPC, security groups, NACLs, load balancers) * Harden and standardize server builds to meet security and compliance baselines * Automate provisioning and configuration management using scripting and config management tools * Validate post-migration performance and stability, and remediate issues found during cutover * Document server architecture, runbooks, and standard operating procedures This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position.
