CCST will not sponsor a work visa. ## Description The Program Associate, Science Services provides programmatic, technical, and logistical support for the design, delivery, and promotion of CCST services. Program Associates help ensure the smooth operation of activities that equip California policymakers with the scientific and technological knowledge needed to strengthen evidence-based state policy, and their work bridges public policy and cutting-edge science and technology in service of a more resilient and equitable future for all Californians. With a primary focus on CCST's Science Residency programs and emerging technology initiatives, the Program Associate supports day-to-day program implementation - keeping projects on schedule and objectives on track., Program and Project Coordination (55%) * Coordinate and support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of CCST projects, with a primary focus on artificial intelligence, quantum, and other emerging technologies topics. * Support Program Managers and Science Officers in developing the scope, deliverables, and timelines for Science Services projects and partner engagement initiatives. * Convene and facilitate project steering committees and expert interviews, including preparing materials and facilitating discussions. * Collaborate with other CCST staff across teams to ensure seamless execution of project components. Event and Logistics Management (30%) * Support the development of event objectives, timelines, and logistics in collaboration with CCST team members. * Coordinate event logistics, including invitations, materials, and RSVP management, and delegate tasks to other team members when necessary. * Coordinate event budgets, timelines, and advisory committees (e.g., ad hoc groups, working groups, subcontractors). * Guide venue selection and event design to support programmatic goals. Strategic Engagement and Program Development (5%) * Cultivate and maintain relationships with external partners, including CCST's partner institutions, state legislature/agency partners, professional organizations, and other experts. * Represent CCST in meetings with legislators, executive branch staff, and other stakeholders. * Help to identify and pursue new project opportunities, funding sources, and strategic partnerships. Marginal Duties (10%) * Other Duties as Assigned: Perform other job-related duties as assigned to support the organization, cover staff absences, or balance operational workloads as directed by management. * Special Projects: Conduct special tasks, assignments, or administrative projects upon management request. * Meetings and Training: Attend general staff meetings, participate in ongoing internal training, and serve on ad-hoc committees., Sacramento, California.
