 * Experience with Git/version control systems
 * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
 * Ability to work independently and execute projects with minimal oversight, * Experience developing AI agents or automation systems
 * Experience with OpenAI APIs, LangChain, or similar AI frameworks
 * Familiarity with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Vector databases, Cloud platforms, Docker/containerized environments
 * Experience in manufacturing, defense, automotive, or industrial environments preferred

## Description

Waltonen is actively seeking a hands-on AI Programmer / AI Software Engineer to develop internal AI agents, workflow automation tools, and intelligent business systems that improve operational efficiency across the organization., * Design, develop, test, and maintain internal AI tools, AI agents, and workflow automation systems

 * Build AI-powered applications that support engineering, operations, manufacturing, administration, and business functions
 * Develop intelligent workflow automation solutions to streamline repetitive or manual processes
 * Create and integrate AI agents capable of supporting internal knowledge retrieval, process execution, reporting, and decision support
 * Develop software applications and backend systems using Python, C, C++, Java, and related technologies
 * Build AI-powered applications to support engineering, operations, manufacturing, and business functions
 * Integrate AI technologies, APIs, databases, and business systems into existing infrastructure
 * Collaborate with teams across the organization to identify AI and automation opportunities
 * Optimize software performance, reliability, scalability, and security
 * Research, evaluate, and implement emerging AI tools, frameworks, and technologies
 * Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain software performance and reliability
 * Maintain technical documentation, coding standards, and development best practices
