 * Strong understanding of software design patterns and engineering principles
 * Experience with frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask
 * Solid knowledge of RESTful APIs and distributed systems
 * Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases
 * Strong testing experience (PyTest, unit, integration, and automated testing)
 * Experience with Git and modern CI/CD pipelines
 * Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
 * Experience with Azure

Desirable

 * Docker and Kubernetes experience
 * Experience with AWS, or Google Cloud
 * Knowledge of event-driven architectures and message queues
 * Exposure to data engineering, machine learning, or AI platforms
 * Experience leading technical projects or mentoring engineers

We are seeking an experienced Senior Python Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Watford. You'll play a key role in designing, building, and scaling high-performance applications that power critical business functions and customer experiences.

What You'll Be Doing

 * Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable Python applications and services
 * Building robust APIs and microservices architectures
 * Writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
 * Collaborating closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineering teams
 * Driving best practices in software engineering, code quality, and performance
 * Participating in architecture reviews and technical decision-making
 * Identifying and implementing improvements to systems, processes, and tooling
 * Supporting cloud-native deployments and infrastructure automation
