## About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong SolidWorks skills and experience in mechanical product design who enjoys taking products from an initial idea through to production. You'll be joining a supportive engineering team where you'll have the chance to develop new products, improve existing designs and see your ideas brought to life.

If you enjoy solving engineering challenges, working on a variety of projects and making a genuine impact, we'd love to hear from you., * Previous experience in a Mechanical Design Engineer or Product Design Engineer role within a manufacturing environment

 * Strong SolidWorks skills
 * Experience producing manufacturing drawings
 * A creative approach to problem-solving with a practical, hands-on mindset
 * Someone who enjoys working closely with colleagues across engineering, production and other departments
 * Excellent attention to detail and a genuine passion for designing high-quality products

## Description

* Designing and developing new products, taking ideas from the initial concept right through to production
 * Creating 3D models, technical drawings and assemblies using SolidWorks
 * Building and testing prototypes, making improvements to ensure products perform well and are ready for manufacture
 * Preparing the technical drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs) and documentation needed to support production
 * Working closely with the production team to make sure designs are practical, efficient and cost-effective to manufacture
 * Looking at ways to improve existing products through new materials, manufacturing techniques and design enhancements
 * Supporting design changes and continuous improvement projects as products evolve
