## About the Role

Experience completing work as directed, and collaborating with teammates; developing knowledge of relevant concepts and processes., * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

 * 1 year of experience with one or more optical technologies such as optical transceivers, optical metro, or long-haul Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) systems.
 * Experience in one or more programming languages such as C++, Go, or Python.

Preferred qualifications:

 * Experience with network equipment manufacturer or network operator in engineering or design role.
 * Experience with planning and designing networks (e.g., multiple sites, multiple products, etc.).

## Description

* Define requirements and identify technologies for scaling our transport network in a cost-efficient and operationally streamlined manner.
 * Engage with external vendors and internal teams to operationalize stable, scalable platforms.
 * Develop and execute test plans for optical systems.
 * Automate test infrastructure to qualify and introduce new products into our production network.
 * Develop tools and processes for automation of network management and operations.
