## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud architecture
 * 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure or platform engineering
 * Strong proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tools
 * Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows
 * Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies
 * Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and secure cloud architectures

Bonus points if You Have:

 * Master's degree in a related technical field and/or experience with scientific or meteorological data applications
 * Experience with geospatial or advanced browser-based visualization technologies (WebGL, Canvas, GIS tools)
 * Familiarity with meteorological data formats
 * Knowledge of microservices, containerization, cloud cost optimization, and multi-region deployments

## Description

Accenture Federal Services is seeking a Lead Cloud Platform Engineer 100% remote to design, develop, and manage the AWS cloud platform infrastructure supporting mission-critical meteorological web applications. In this role, you will architect secure, scalable, and resilient cloud environments that enable high-performance application deployment while ensuring reliability, observability, and compliance with federal standards.

What You Will Do:

 * Design and implement secure, scalable AWS cloud architecture that strengthens platform reliability and performance
 * Drive IaC, automated provisioning, and CI/CD pipelines to accelerate delivery and reduce manual effort
 * Lead containerization, orchestration, and DevOps practices to improve deployment speed and consistency
 * Implement monitoring, logging, and optimization strategies to enhance system visibility and reduce downtime
 * Architect high-availability, networking, and disaster recovery solutions that ensure mission continuity
 * Define governance, security controls, and platform standards to improve compliance and operational excellence
 * Partner with application teams and mentor engineers to elevate overall cloud engineering capability
 * Maintain clear platform documentation to support efficient operations and knowledge transfer
