## About the Role

* Master's Degree in Electrical or Computer engineering or Software engineering plus 2-5 years of related experience not including co-ops or internships
 * Excellent programming skills in C / C++, Java
 * Programming skills on embedded microcontrollers (8051, ARM, or similar)
 * Smart card Operating Systems / Java Card OS experience is a plus
 * Secure coding practices and knowledge of cryptography are appreciated
 * Exposure to Global Platform Standards, EMVco Standards and GSMA is a plus
 * Familiarity with Contact / Contactless smart card protocols (ISO7816, ISO14443, NFC)
 * Excellent problem-solving skills
 * Good communication skills

## Description

* Design, develop and validate NXP's secure mobile payment solutions and applets
 * Implementation of "on-card" Software for secure microcontrollers
 * Analysis of use cases for performance optimization
 * Implementation and execution of software tests - unit / functional test cases
 * Software design, code and test plans / needed test coverage
 * Contribution to software Architecture and design considerations
 * Familiarity and comfortable working with international standards
 * Customer facing role to drive NXP solutions technically
