Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline. 6+ years of aerospace, satellite, mission integration, systems engineering, or acquisition support experience. Experience supporting DoD, Space Force, Air Force, or other federal space programs. Strong background reviewing technical documentation, requirements, and engineering deliverables on behalf of government customers. Experience working directly with government program offices as a SETA or technical advisor. Satellite payload integration experience. Space Test Program (STP) or Space Systems Command (SSC) experience. Experience supporting DoD R&D space activities and experimental missions. Knowledge of launch vehicle integration and launch campaign support. Mission integration experience involving multi-payload satellites. Familiarity with rapid-reaction space programs and quick-turn mission execution. Experience assessing technical and schedule risk for spacecraft and payloads. Strong understanding of space vehicle development, integration, testing, and operations. ## Description Our client is seeking a Mission Integration Engineer to provide high-level SETA support to the U.S. Space Force's Space Test Program (STP) within Space Systems Command. This position serves as a trusted technical advisor and strategic partner to government leadership, supporting the integration, launch, and execution of DoD research and development space missions. The Space Test Program serves as the Department of Defense's executive agent for R&D space experiments, providing rapid access to space for satellites and experimental payloads across Air Force, Navy, and Army stakeholders. This individual will act as the government's "right hand" for mission integration activities, evaluating satellite readiness, supporting acquisition efforts, reviewing technical documentation, and ensuring successful mission execution from concept through launch and on-orbit operations. Key Responsibilities Serve as the SETA lead supporting both the Space Test Program and Mission Integration Branch. Provide acquisition and mission integration support to government customers. Review technical documentation, interface control documents (ICDs), requirements packages, and mission deliverables for compliance with customer and government requirements. Assess technical and schedule readiness of satellites and payloads for launch. Identify and evaluate risks associated with spacecraft, payloads, and launch vehicles. Provide technical guidance throughout spacecraft design, development, assembly, integration, testing, and launch activities. Support launch manifest development and mission planning efforts. Coordinate with government stakeholders, launch providers, and mission teams to ensure successful mission execution. Apply systems engineering principles across the full mission lifecycle.
