This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to translate complex requirements into actionable work, maintain a high-quality backlog, and guide successful delivery within Agile and hybrid methodologies. The DPO leads requirement definition, stakeholder alignment, delivery planning, and readiness activities while providing continual business guidance to execution teams. This role is instrumental in managing prioritization, mitigating operational risk, and ensuring that delivered features meet acceptance criteria and provide intended value., Business & Delivery Leadership * Represent business stakeholders to elicit, document, refine, and communicate business requirements. * Serve as the day-to-day decision-maker for Agile teams, ensuring alignment with business strategies and sponsor expectations. * Prioritize the execution team's backlog based on business value, risk, dependencies, and customer impact. * Collaborate with product, business, and technology teams to define processes, understand operational risk, and establish performance metrics. * Work across iterative Agile and sequential Waterfall environments. Backlog & Execution Management * Own and maintain a prioritized product backlog with clear, testable user stories and acceptance criteria. * Review and accept completed work to ensure alignment with acceptance standards and business intent. * Manage and influence Agile team performance through backlog health, delivery predictability, quality outcomes, and continuous improvement. * Evaluate and prioritize new requirements, features, and defects; determine whether to build, fix, or defer. Cross-Functional Collaboration * Lead and motivate cross-functional teams including user experience, design, BA, development, and QA. * Support delivery of features aligned to program/product roadmaps. * Engage and influence stakeholders and subject matter experts to validate business vision and customer needs. Change Readiness & Risk Management * Prepare business partners for upcoming changes, measuring adoption, benefit realization, and operational risk. * Identify, escalate, and recommend solutions for risks impacting business or IT delivery. * Support coaching and development for less experienced DPOs and team members.
