## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
 * 2-3 years of experience in tax technology or billing operations, with a primary focus on invoicing solutions.
 * Hands-on experience with tax engines (Vertex, Avalara, or equivalent) integrated into billing systems.
 * Familiarity with subscription billing platforms is a strong plus.
 * Solid understanding of indirect tax regulations (sales & use tax, VAT) as they relate to invoice content and timing.
 * Experience working cross-functionally with engineering and product teams on invoicing automation projects.
 * Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel; SQL experience preferred.
 * Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to translate tax requirements into actionable technical specifications.

## Description

We are looking for a Tax Technology Specialist with deep expertise in billing systems and invoicing compliance. This role is primarily focused on ensuring accurate and compliant invoice generation across markets, supporting the integration of tax engines with billing platforms, and driving automation initiatives to reduce manual effort in the invoicing lifecycle., * Own the end-to-end invoicing compliance process, including invoice design, field validation, and regulatory alignment across global markets.

 * Configure and maintain tax determination rules within billing and invoicing platforms, ensuring accurate tax calculation at point of invoice generation.
 * Partner with product, engineering, and finance teams to build scalable invoice templates that meet local statutory requirements.
 * Lead testing and validation cycles for invoice-related changes, including system upgrades, new market launches, and regulatory updates.
 * Identify and resolve invoicing discrepancies and tax mismatches; escalate complex issues to senior tax leadership as needed.
 * Develop and maintain a library of invoice scenarios, edge cases, and exception-handling documentation.
 * Support audit readiness by ensuring invoice archives are accurate, complete, and easily retrievable.
 * Create training materials and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions for billing operations and customer-facing teams.
