Experience: * Must have two (2) years release of information experience in a medical record setting. * Bilingual Spanish speaking preferred. Other Key Qualifications: * Must have valid Texas Driver's License and be insurable under Agency policy. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * A working understanding of medical record and documentation standards, organization, security and release of information requirements. * The individual must possess effective oral and written communication skills and mathematical aptitude. * Displays sound judgment, problem solving and decision making skills. * Possesses basic understanding, ability and aptitude in computer programs; electronic medical record, * Microsoft Word 9/Excel/Access programs, file management, email, Internet use and keyboarding. ## Description The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD ("The HARRIS CENTER") is looking for a Release of Information Coordinator to join our team. Under the General direction of the Director of Medical Records this position is responsible for the Release of Information (ROI) in Central Medical Records (CMR). Performs related records functions including retrieving consumer charts, copying, tracking, data entry and filing. Provide release of information training to service units. Assists with the development and review of Agency Records Administration Policy and Procedures. Responsible for delivery of records to court in response to a court subpoena or court order.
