* 5+ years of experience in SQL database administration
 * Bachelor's degree, Seeking an experienced technically skilled Database Administrator with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in SQL database administration. In this role, the DBA will be the respondent to database problems that arise and carry out periodic maintenance and troubleshooting., * Experience with some of the modern relational databases
 * Skilled at optimizing large complicated SQL statements
 * Knowledge of best practices when dealing with relational databases
 * Capable of configuring popular database engines and orchestrating clusters as necessary
 * Ability to plan resource requirements from high level specifications
 * Capable of troubleshooting common database issues
 * Familiar with tools that can aid with profiling server resource usage and optimizing
 * Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as GitLab
 * Familiar with SISS packages
 * Bachelor's degree
 * 3-5 years Windows 10
 * 3-5 years SQL Server 2008 & higher
 * 3-5 years SQL
 * Good verbal communication skills
 * Server OS 2008 / 2012 preferred

## Description

* Help write and optimize in-application SQL statements.
 * Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases.
 * Prepare documentations and specifications.
 * Handle common database procedures such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.
 * Profile server resource usage and optimize and tweak as necessary.
 * Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
 * Responding in a timely manner to user-reported errors. Protecting the database against threats or unauthorized access.
 * Ensuring that the database is adequately backed up and able to be recovered in the event of memory loss.
 * Reporting on metrics regarding usage and performance. Suggesting changes and improvements for database maintenance or protection.
 * Regularly liaising with IT project managers and database programmers.
 * Designing databases with both front-end and back-end users in mind.
