## About the Role

* High school diploma or equivalent
 * Minimum 1 year of experience in computer repair (professional or DIY experience considered)
 * Strong understanding of PC architecture and operating systems (Windows, Chrome OS)
 * Proficient in troubleshooting hardware and software issues
 * Comfortable lifting and moving equipment up to 40 lbs.
 * Ability to operate hand trucks and pallet jacks
 * Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
 * Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team
 * Effective communication and customer service skills
 * Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and follow instructions
 * Commitment to meeting or exceeding repair output expectations and SLAs
 * Preferred: CompTIA A+ certification or currently pursuing certification

## Description

Virtucom is seeking Hardware Computer Repair Technicians to join our new team in Naperville, Illinois. This full-time, in-person opportunity is ideal for individuals who are passionate about technology and eager to gain hands-on experience in IT hardware repair and support. As a Hardware Computer Repair Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining and restoring the functionality of various devices such as laptops and Chromebooks, ensuring quality service and customer satisfaction., * Diagnose and repair desktop and laptop computers, including hardware and software issues

 * Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems, software, and drivers
 * Inspect and identify cosmetic and functional defects; document and report findings
 * Disassemble and reassemble devices using hand tools to replace or repair components (e.g., motherboards, bezels, keyboards)
 * Clean and adjust mechanical parts to ensure equipment runs efficiently and reliably
 * Maintain accurate documentation of repairs and ticket resolutions in ticketing systems
 * Organize and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment
 * Communicate with leadership regarding inventory levels and part requests
 * Stay current with repair procedures, quality standards, and service-level agreements (SLAs)
