## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field or equivalent experience
 * 6+ years of experience in networking and 4+ years in cloud engineering
 * Strong understanding of networking equipment such as switches, routers, firewalls and VPN appliances. (Preferably Dell, Cisco, Sonicwall)
 * Deep operational experience ensuring efficient troubleshooting and speed to problem resolution
 * Strong working knowledge of networking protocols and technologies including BGP, IPsec, network segmentation, VRFs, Switching, VLANs and load balancers.
 * Strong understanding of identity management, federated identity systems (Microsoft ADFS), MFA, and Active Directory integration with cloud apps and Azure AD
 * Current knowledge of DevOps, containerization, security, and observability
 * Scripting ability to enable automation and deployment of infrastructure as code, interacting with Azure Resource Manager (ARM) with Terraform, Azure PowerShell, and Azure CLI
 * Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, and ability to communicate complex technical ideas to many audiences

## Description

* Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks
 * Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP
 * Procuring network equipment and managing subcontractors involved with network installation
 * Configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security
 * Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
 * Arranging scheduled upgrades
 * Investigating faults in the network
 * Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases
 * Reporting network status to key stakeholders
