REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: * 2+ years of pre-sales, customer facing, engineering experience and 2+ years' experience in estimating, design or engineering. * Experience in the industry or related experience working with large-scale projects or national deployments. * Experience designing, configuring and engineering Video Surveillance, Access Control, Intrusion, infrastructure, data networks. * Intermediate Excel skills including formatting and formula creation. * Intermediate MS Word skills * Working knowledge of IP Networking PHYSICAL DEMANDS: * Regular use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment. * Regular, repetitive movements such as typing, mouse movements, and scrolling. Ability to hear and understand spoken communications, both in person and via remote communication tools (e.g., phone, video conferencing). * Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. * Ability to see and read computer screens and printed documents, as well as adjust focus. This includes prolonged periods of looking at a computer screen. ## Description SUMMARY: The Physical Security Solution Engineer will be responsible for creating estimates and proposals for customers. This involves gathering information from a variety of sources and using it to create an estimate using our established software tools. You will be responsible for building a bill of materials and estimating the labor associated with all tasks of the project. This information is then used to write a comprehensive proposal for the customer. Some projects are relatively straightforward, while others will require you to think outside of the box. You will assist Project Managers by providing information related to the solution, and you will assist Sales Account Managers by acting as a subject matter expert.
