## About the Role

* Degree (MSc or PhD) in Physics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Applied Superconductivity, or a closely related field.
 * Prior experience with one of the following topics: superconducting magnets, accelerator physics, undulator technology, cryogenic systems and magnetic field measurements.
 * Good verbal and written English communication skills.
 * The following points are considered an asset:
 + Experience with numerical modeling and simulation tools (eg, OPERA, COMSOL, ANSYS, CST, or similar multiphysics/FEM softwares), in particular for electromagnetic fields.
 + Use of mechanical drawing software (eg NX, SolidWorks, CATIA).
 + Prior experience with materials suitable for cryogenic environment.
 + -Experience in designing of tools or control jigs (including 3D printing machine)
 + Programming skills in Python, MATLAB, or similar scientific computing environments.
 + Prior experience in laboratory test equipment, both manually and through controlled software.
 + Experience with PLC-based winding machines.

* Modeling and Design Optimization of HTS Undulator Coils
 * Investigate Quench Behavior and Protection of the modeled HTS Undulator Coils
 * Prepare Prototypes and contribute to their Results Analysis and Experimental Validation
 * Design, develop, and execute manufacturing processes
