Agent guide: [/agents.md](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/agents.md). --- # Game Content Designer - Fully Remote - **Company:** SOFTGAMES - **Location:** Berlin, Germany (Remote available) - **Experience:** Experienced - **Contract:** Permanent contract - **Skills:** Spreadsheets, Software Tools - **Published:** July 31, 2026 - **Apply:** https://de.indeed.com/viewjob?jk=b35d9d9f40978ca1 ## About the Role * 3+ years of experience as a game content designer, game designer, level designer, or narrative designer on free-to-play mobile or web games * Shipped at least one F2P title, ideally in the casual space (merge, hidden object, match-3, decoration, or similar) * Strong understanding of casual game progression: task pacing, difficulty curves, session design, and how content feeds retention * Solid writing skills in English, with the ability to write concise in-game text and character dialogue * Comfortable working data-driven: spreadsheets, config files, and content pipelines hold no fear for you * Structured and detail-oriented, able to keep large amounts of interconnected content consistent and documented * Hands-on experience with story-driven casual genres (merge, hidden object, match-3 with meta, decoration) as designer or dedicated player * Player empathy and the ability to articulate why their content works * Experience writing briefs for artists and guiding them through production of the art assets needed to support the story, * Experience with Unity, level editors, or in-house content tools * Experience designing content for live events and seasonal updates * Background in narrative design or creative writing for games ## Description We are looking for a Game Content Designer to join the team building a new, unannounced free-to-play casual game. In this role you will shape what players actually experience day-to-day: the story that pulls them forward, the world they progress through, and the items and rewards that drive the core gameplay. You will work hand in hand with game design, art, and narrative to turn the game's vision into concrete, playable content, from the first session through months of live content updates. * This is a REMOTE position.
