Agent guide: [/agents.md](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/agents.md). --- # Testing Lead - **Company:** Johnson Controls - **Location:** Gilbert, AZ, United States - **Experience:** Expert - **Contract:** Permanent contract - **Skills:** Software Design Documents, Microsoft Office, Bug Reporting - **Published:** July 17, 2026 - **Apply:** https://www.indeed.com/viewjob?jk=1f86dcd876213dc6 ## About the Role * Post-Secondary Education in an appropriate field or a combination of education and experience preferred. * 1-2 years of electrical experience * Knowledge of QA methodologies preferred. * Practical experience with risk management, product testing, capability studies, and control plans. * Training and knowledge of Six Sigma techniques and Lean Manufacturing are desirable. * Highly motivated and self-directed capable of multi-tasking, and able to work with minimal supervision. * Extremely detail-oriented and analytical thinker. * Able to interface directly with cross-functional teams. * Ability to manage change on the floor and work well with shift supervisors * Ability to review technical documentation, including project plans, test procedures, and design documents. * Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills. * High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office * Strong work ethic and positive team attitude. * Clear and concise communication ability Reports to: * Electrical Supervisor ## Description * Ensure crew arrives on time, ready, and fit for duty at the start of each shift. * Inspect production material as assigned for defects as trained. * Host a start of shift meeting with crew at start of shift to delegate work for the shift. * Review any job related issues or safety concerns. * Ensure workers have proper material and tools to complete daily tasks. * Train new employees in job duties. * Ensure workers are wearing proper PPE and working in a safe manner. * Resolve any work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and quality of work. * Ensure workers are following scheduled break times. * Remove defective items from production, designating reason for removal. * Report defects to the appropriate Supervisor. * Perform internal QA audits that are compliant with corporate policies, practices, and procedures. * Assist with the maintenance of QA monitoring programs, including audits, controls, and other qualifiers. * Support new product development and continuous improvement and by integrating quality control tools (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) into processes. * Promote and advocate quality achievement and performance improvement across the organization. * Ensure ongoing compliance with local, national, and international standards and legislation. Working Conditions: * This position requires shop work. When working in the shop, one must exercise caution as this environment presents many naturally-occurring and potentially worker-produced hazards including small or large projectiles, contamination with toxic gasses/liquids, impalement, crushing, electrocution, explosion, immolation, decapitation and asphyxiation. Safety policies must be always adhered to.
