Around 10 years of software engineering experience can be a useful reference, but demonstrated impact and technical depth are more important than a specific number of years. Nice to have * AI agents or agentic developer workflows. * Kubernetes Operators or controllers. * Backstage plugins or Internal Developer Platforms. * TypeScript and React. * Platform API or SDK design. * LLMs, RAG, MCP or AI infrastructure. * Multi-tenant SaaS platforms. * Open-source software or developer-tooling contributions. ## Description We are looking for an AI Platform Engineer to help build the next generation of an AI-powered Internal Developer Platform for a major international organisation. You will create the core capabilities that enable hundreds of engineers and data scientists to build, deploy and operate software with greater speed, security and autonomy. This is a deeply hands-on Staff role. You will lead through technical excellence while spending most of your time writing code, designing systems and delivering reusable platform capabilities. The project You will contribute to an enterprise-scale platform focused on developer experience, reliability, scalability and AI-assisted engineering. The team treats the platform as a product: identifying developer friction, delivering self-service solutions and measuring their impact through feedback and adoption metrics.
