## About the Role

* You have several years of professional experience as a Fullstack Engineer, ideally with Elixir or another Ruby.
 * You care about code quality, but not for its own sake - you balance pragmatism with craftsmanship.
 * You love working in small, empowered teams where you can shape not just the product but also how it's built.
 * You come with a product mindset: if something's unclear, you explore it instead of waiting for perfect specs.
 * You understand the basics of GDPR and secure software design and know why that matters.
 * You're curious, reflective, and enjoy learning - including from failed experiments.
 * Professional-level English is required; German is a plus.
 * You can work remote from germany, but hybrid in Berlin would be ideal - that's where our product and design team sits.

Nice to have (but not required):

 * Experience with handling sensitive data, ideally health-related data.
 * Solid understanding of encryption, key management, and data privacy.
 * Knowledge of DevOps and hosting environments.
 * Familiar with Shape Up as an outcome-driven, autonomy-based approach for agile software development.

## Description

* Build and maintain a high-quality, maintainable codebase written in Elixir with Phoenix, LiveView, TailwindCSS and daisyUI.
 * We are building the product in small iterations, we prototype early and often, everybody is encouraged to move forward on their own accord
 * Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and other Engineers to find smart solutions that balance speed, quality, and simplicity.
 * Shape our architecture for reliability, scalability, and developer happiness - we're building a long-term platform here.
 * Build a clean, maintainable and tested codebase.
 * Take ownership of privacy and security aspects from the start - encryption, data separation, and GDPR compliance are part of the product, not an afterthought.
 * Contribute ideas to improve our development process, stack, and team culture.
