## About the Role

+ 5-10+ years of experience in Windows system administration

 + Strong expertise in:

 + Windows Server administration.

 + Active Directory & Group Policy.

 + PowerShell scripting.

 + Hands-on experience with:

 + Kubernetes

 + Red Hat OpenShift

 + Virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere and/or Hyper-V).

 + Experience with system monitoring tools and backup solutions.

 + Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, firewalls, load balancing).

Preferred Qualifications

 + Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).

 + Red Hat or Kubernetes certifications (e.g., CKA, OpenShift Administrator).

Education:

 + Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics engineering or related technical discipline and 5+ years' work experience.

 + Eight (8) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education (13 years total).

Clearance:

 + The ability to pass a Tier 2/Moderate Background Investigation.

## Description

Senior Windows System Administrator to design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure environments. This role requires expertise in Windows Server administration along with hands-on experience in container platforms such as OpenShift and Kubernetes, and virtualization technologies. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining system reliability, performance, and security across hybrid environments.

 + Administer, maintain, and support Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022).

 + Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and IIS.

 + Design and support virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V).

 + Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized applications using Kubernetes and OpenShift.

 + Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.

 + Automate system administration tasks using PowerShell and scripting tools.

 + Collaborate with DevOps and application teams to support CI/CD pipelines.

 + Implement and enforce security best practices, patch management, and compliance standards.

 + Troubleshoot complex system, network, and application issues.

 + Maintain system documentation, procedures, and configurations.

 + Provide mentorship and guidance to junior administrators.
