## About the Role

* Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent qualification.
 * 2+ years of experience in Application Support.
 * Strong Linux administration skills (Shell scripting is a plus).
 * Good knowledge of Windows Server environments.
 * Experience with Java application servers.
 * Knowledge of databases.
 * Experience with workload automation tools (Automic AWA, Control-M, or similar).
 * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
 * Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
 * Proactive mindset and willingness to learn.
 * Fluent English (written and spoken)., * Experience in banking or financial services environments.
 * Knowledge of financial products.
 * Experience leading small teams or coordinating projects.
 * Experience with batch processing and enterprise scheduling platforms.
 * Familiarity with Agile environments.

## Description

We are looking for an experienced Application Support Specialist to ensure the stability, availability, and performance of core banking applications.

You will work closely with IT Operations, Application Owners, Development teams, Incident Managers, and Business stakeholders, providing 2nd-level support, coordinating releases and changes, driving automation initiatives, and contributing to the continuous improvement of application operations.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a highly critical banking environment with international teams and modern technologies.

 * Provide 2nd-level support for core banking applications.
 * Investigate and resolve incidents generated by monitoring systems and Service Desk within agreed SLAs.
 * Coordinate with Incident Managers, Application Owners, 3rd-level support teams, Agile teams, and business stakeholders.
 * Act as the local administrative manager for supported applications.
 * Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation (weekly basis).
 * Manage application-related change requests and ensure successful implementation.
 * Participate in scheduled release activities, including occasional weekend deployments.
 * Support operational projects involving existing or newly integrated applications.
 * Perform routine data cleansing and system maintenance activities.
 * Identify opportunities to automate repetitive operational tasks and facilitate handover to L1 (Control Center).
 * Maintain and improve operational documentation and knowledge bases.
 * Support batch job scheduling and monitoring using workload automation tools such as Automic AWA, Control-M, or similar.
 * Ensure application stability, availability, and operational excellence.
 * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize operational processes.
 * Contribute to service improvements and operational best practices.
