Preferred Technical Expertise * 8 years or more of Expert-level experience with Cisco routing/switching and Palo Alto firewalls. * Advanced L2/L3 protocol mastery (OSPF, BGP, STP, VLANs, IPv4/IPv6). * Experience designing networks across on-prem, cloud (AWS/Azure), and hybrid architectures. * Strong packet analysis skills (Wireshark) and ability to resolve multi-layer issues. * Hands-on physical infrastructure experience with copper/fiber cabling. * Experience integrating monitoring/observability tools into enterprise ecosystems. Preferred Certifications * CCIE, CCNP, PCNSE, JNCIE, AWS Advanced Networking Specialty, Network Security Requirements * Active Top Secret / SCI clearance required * US Citizenship required ## Description GDIT is seeking a Network Solutions Engineer (Enterprise Network Principal) to design, optimize, and deliver advanced network solutions for mission-critical Federal environments. In this role, you'll support customer engagements, innovation initiatives, and solution development efforts across the Office of the CTO and GDIT's COVE AIOps Digital Accelerator. If you're energized by shaping modern network architectures and solving complex technical challenges, this role offers high impact and high visibility.
