## About the Role

* Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior engineering experience.
 * Experience with systems requirements, systems software, and systems hardware; experience with systems integration and/or systems test is a plus
 * Experience with DOORs, MBSE, and Cameo / MagicDraw

Qualifications We Prefer:

 * Experience in software, hardware, electrical and/or mechanical design.
 * Experience in requirements development, design, verification, and validation.
 * Experience syncing and tracing requirements between DOORs and SysML modeling tools such as Cameo / MagicDraw.
 * Experience managing trade studies and design decisions.
 * Experience effectively presenting ideas to senior level stakeholders.
 * Experience in all phases of development: concept, requirements, design, implementation, and test.
 * Experience supporting design reviews during all phases of development.
 * 10 or more years of experience on DoD and/or space programs.

## Description

Raytheon is seeking a talented and motivated Principal Systems Engineer to join our team within the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SETC) Discipline, supporting the LTAMDS and GhostEye Radars. This role offers a unique opportunity to work across the full lifecycle of the product, from concept to deployment.

What You Will Do:

In this Systems Engineer role, you will perform and/or support the following activities:

 * Core Systems Engineering: Develop requirements and algorithms, concepts of operations, system trades, and system interfaces
 * Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE): Develop and maintain detailed SysML descriptive system models, linking and synchronization of requirements, and generate design documentation / views
 * Interface with cross functional teams, such as Electrical and Software engineering, to help guide subsystem development and ensure compliance with requirements throughout the entire product lifecycle
 * Frequent interface with Customer and other program stakeholders and collaborators
 * Conduct and/or support technical peer reviews and provide constructive feedback; Document and provide technical guidance to other members of the design team
 * Communicate technical topics and issues in a clear and concise manner to both technical peers and non-technical team members
