Onstruc started out building photo-based documentation tools for the construction trade broadly; about two and a half years ago, the team began focusing that experience specifically on electricians, teaming up with Wiha - a German tool manufacturer with 80 years of history and a genuine fan following in the trade - to build the NFC-enabled hardware integration that's now Sparkify's core differentiator. * Electricians are legally required to document their work - photos, forms, measurement data - after every job; Sparkify replaces pen-and-paper and Excel-and-a-prayer with something that works fully offline in the field, and turns taking a measurement into a tap by pulling data straight off Wiha's testing devices via NFC. * Live for 120 days, we're already at 85+ clients and roughly 125 seats, adding about one new client a day -well financed, growing, and shipping fast with a small senior team. We are looking for someone to take clear ownership of our web platform now: backend, frontend, and the production reality in between. About the role * You take operational ownership of our production system: PHP 8 / Symfony services and a Vue 3 web client used by electricians every day. You keep the system stable, keep billing flowing, and work through a concrete, prioritized bug and feature backlog end to end. * This is a full-stack ownership role in the practical sense: no backend feature is done until the UI exists, and no frontend flow is complete unless the API, data model, and operational behavior behind it work properly. * This is not a greenfield fantasy, but it is not a legacy horror either. It is a clear, manageable production system with real users, real revenue, and real momentum. You will not be alone: our infrastructure partner supports the Couchbase layer, and you will work closely with our founder, who's covering CTO duties directly, so the system becomes better documented and easier to own over time. What You'll Do * Own the Symfony service fleet: API, auth, payment, notification, image, and PDF-report services; Symfony Messenger for async jobs * Own the web client with it: a Vue 3 + Vuetify + TypeScript SPA using Pinia and Vite * Ship features end to end across checkout, billing, workspace, admin, and documentation flows * Build data import/export support as new hardware-manufacturer partners join the platform * Keep billing flowing: Mollie subscriptions, webhooks, invoices, SEPA mandates * Run and improve production infrastructure: Hetzner servers, GitHub Actions CI, SSH deploys, Cloudflare DNS, Pulumi IaC, and observability via Sentry, Datadog, and Grafana * Work through a real backlog: well-defined bugs, missing endpoints, data cleanups, hardening items, and pragmatic product improvements * Get productive with Couchbase and Sync Gateway, which power our mobile sync. Prior Couchbase experience is helpful, but not required; our managed-service partner's Couchbase engineers support us here ## Related Videos - [Build and Deploy a Fullstack App with Open Source Tooling](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/775-build-and-deploy-a-fullstack-app-with-open-source-tooling) - [Unleashing Potential Across Teams: The Power of Infrastructure as Code](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/930-unleashing-potential-across-teams-the-power-of-infrastructure-as-code) - [Tips and Tricks for Working with JSON](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1229-tips-and-tricks-for-working-with-json) - [How a Small Team Shrank a Microsoft Monorepo by 94%](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1236-how-a-small-team-shrank-a-microsoft-monorepo-by-94) - [Terraform for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/3-terraform-for-developers) - [Introducing JSON Structure](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100219-introducing-json-structure) ## Related Articles - [Fullstack developer salary in Germany [2023]](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/197-fullstack-developer-salary-in-germany-2023) - [Frontend Developer Salary in Germany [2023]](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/195-frontend-developer-salary-in-germany-2023) - [The Biggest German Tech Companies](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/424-the-biggest-german-tech-companies) - [Fully Remote Software Engineer Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/447-fully-remote-software-engineer-jobs) - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [Dev Digest 121 - AI goes offline](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/456-dev-digest-121-ai-goes-offline)
