The Senior Network Engineer work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors., The Senior Network Engineer - Site Readiness is responsible for the technical planning, deployment, testing, and validation of network infrastructure supporting new site openings, acquisitions, and enterprise healthcare facilities. This role leads site readiness activities including IT closet build-outs, low-voltage cabling, carrier circuit delivery, SD-WAN and network deployments, infrastructure testing, and go-live support. The engineer works across internal teams, vendors, and construction partners to ensure sites are fully operational, compliant with enterprise standards, and ready for business operations. Owns the end-to-end technical readiness of healthcare facilities. Ensuring IT closets, low-voltage infrastructure, carrier services, network equipment, testing, validation, and operational handoff are complete prior to go-live., * WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense. * A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required. * Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role. * A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information Work at Home Requirements To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees' ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria: At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested. In certain roles, the minimum recommended internet speed required by Humana may not be sufficient for business needs. Humana reserves the right to require associates to upgrade their internet service if necessary. Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information. Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.
