You may qualify based on your experience as described below: * Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade 12 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: experience working with antivirus solutions, endpoint firewalls, device control, and endpoint detection and response technologies; applying cybersecurity technologies and standards-including daily monitoring and mitigation of cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities. Expand Hide additional information Candidates should be committed to improving the efficiency of the Federal government, passionate about the ideals of our American republic, and committed to upholding the rule of law and the United States Constitution. ## Description * Monitor, detect, and respond to cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities across agency systems. * Manage and maintain antivirus, endpoint firewall, device control, and endpoint detection and response tools. * Conduct regular security reviews, assessments, and audits of production and development systems. * Document, escalate, and assist in the remediation of identified security incidents and risks. * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current cybersecurity best practices, standards, and regulatory compliance requirements. * Support configuration, hardening, and maintenance of Linux operating systems and core infrastructure. * Collaborate with IT and business teams to implement secure solutions and improve security posture. * Prepare and deliver reports and recommendations to leadership on security operations and findings. * Provide technical guidance and training to staff on cybersecurity policies, procedures, and tools. * Participate in the development and enforcement of organizational cybersecurity policies and procedures. This is a Non-Bargaining Unit Position.
