The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in various skills in mainframe technologies, middleware, databases, and DevOps practices, with a strong understanding of enterprise application support and acts as a technical lead, responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and supporting critical mainframe applications while guiding junior team members Roles & Responsibilities · Design, develop, and maintain Mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, and VSAM. · Experience in enterprise-level ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Service Manager, etc.) and their operational workflows. · Worked on waterfall and agile methodology projects; capable of handling - Incidents, Service Requests and Change Requests simultaneously. · Provide technical troubleshooting and resolution for complex application and integration. · Conduct performance tuning and optimization of Mainframe applications and database queries. · Develop technical documentation (Knowledge Base articles, SOPs) for business and support teams · Understand both functional and technical requirements and provide implementation/change options aligned with business needs. Qualifications: · Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. · Experience: Extensive experience in mainframe application development, support and maintenance · Technical Skills: Proficiency in mainframe technologies such as COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM. Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies. Experience with version control systems and software development tools. · Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
