You'll work AI-first, using tools like Claude Code daily and helping the team sharpen how it uses them. We're looking for someone who digs into ambiguous, high-stakes problems and owns them end to end. About the team: The Innovation team sits at the center of NMI's money movement strategy. Formed through NMI's acquisition of Dwolla, we build and evolve the bank payment platform NMI's partners rely on, spanning open banking, push-to-card, account verification, and new payment rail integrations. We work asynchronously, communicate often, and expect blockers to be surfaced early. Psychological safety and continuous improvement are how we keep our high pace sustainable. You will: * Design and develop applications in Scala, TypeScript, and C# * Use AI-first tools like Claude Code to research approaches, generate code, and strengthen review and testing * Own code quality and production issues: reviews, bug reports, and troubleshooting * Translate business needs into technical solutions with stakeholders and your team * Participate in agile ceremonies (refinement, planning, standups, retros) and help improve how the team works * Apply system design expertise across messaging (RabbitMQ), data at scale (SQL, S3), database/caching (RDS, Redis, DynamoDB), and CI/CD (Git, Jenkins, CloudFormation, Terraform) ## Related Videos - [Agentic employees in world's most downloaded FinTech app](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100123-agentic-employees-in-world-s-most-downloaded-fintech-app) - [The Road to MLOps: How Verivox Transitioned to AWS](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1050-the-road-to-mlops-how-verivox-transitioned-to-aws) - [Reducing LLM Calls with Vector Search Patterns - Raphael De Lio (Redis)](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1714-reducing-llm-calls-with-vector-search-patterns-raphael-de-lio-redis) - [How a Small Team Shrank a Microsoft Monorepo by 94%](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1236-how-a-small-team-shrank-a-microsoft-monorepo-by-94) - [Enterprise-Cloud-Native - Fast-Paced Development & Deployment in a Highly Secure Banking Environment](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/671-enterprise-cloud-native-fast-paced-development-deployment-in-a-highly-secure-banking-environment) - [Next Level Enterprise Architecture: Modular, Flexible, Scalable, Multichannel and AI-Ready?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1017-next-level-enterprise-architecture-modular-flexible-scalable-multichannel-and-ai-ready) ## Related Articles - [Highest Paying Tech Companies for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/220-highest-paying-tech-companies-for-developers) - [Top-Paying Tech Jobs (with Salaries)](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/372-top-paying-tech-jobs-with-salaries) - [Best Countries for Software Engineers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/267-best-countries-for-software-engineers) - [Fully Remote Software Engineer Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/447-fully-remote-software-engineer-jobs) - [How Much Does a Software Engineer Make?
