## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree or higher (in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or related field) or equivalent related work experience
 * This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance; U.S. Citizenship is required
 * This position requires the successful applicant to obtain and maintain the required security clearance or other authorization(s) within the necessary timeframe required by applicable contract(s)
 * 5-7+ years' experience Cloud Ops, Site Reliability Engineering, or DevOps
 * Hands-on experience with Podman, Docker, and Docker Compose in production environments
 * Solid experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters
 * Proficient with scripting languages such as Bash, Python
 * Experience with version control tools, we use Git
 * Strong skills with Integrated Development Environments (IDE) such as Eclipse
 * Experience with monitoring/logging tools, like Prometheus and Grafana
 * Strong understanding of networking, security, and IAM in cloud environments
 * Excellent written and verbal communication skills
 * Ability to explain technical issues clearly to both engineers and non-engineers
 * Comfortable participating in team planning meetings, and stakeholder updates
 * Familiar with driver-based and automated test environments

Experience with the following is considered a plus:

 * Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
 * Familiarity with Podman in rootless environments
 * Experience with operating IL5/IL6 compliance environments
 * Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
 * Prior experience in high-availability or regulated environments (e.g., HIPAA, SOC2)

## Description

* Manage and support containerized environments using Podman, Docker, and Docker Compose
 * Deploy, monitor, and scale applications on Kubernetes clusters
 * Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable and repeatable deployments
 * Work with development, security, and product teams to plan, deploy, and maintain services
 * Document operational procedures and create clear runbooks Proficient with scripting languages such as Bash, Python.
