This role involves designing and delivering secure, enterprise-scale workflow and automation solutions that support complex operational environments. The Appian Developer will lead projects through the full software development life cycle-defining requirements, designing architecture, developing features, and implementing custom applications. Responsibilities include working within an agile environment to analyze business processes and technical needs, launching relational data models in production, developing APIs to integrate with external systems, and mentoring junior consultants throughout fast-paced implementations. Successful candidates will be self-driven technologists capable of operating independently within highly secure environments while collaborating with cross-functional teams to build scalable, resilient solutions aligned with mission objectives. This is a fully onsite (~1 day flex per week) role in Northern Virginia supporting high-impact programs requiring strong technical execution and attention to security.
