* 5+ years of experience administering enterprise-level database environments
 * Advanced administration and performance tuning for Microsoft SQL Server
 * Experience supporting high-availability, business-critical systems
 * Experience implementing automation or process improvements within database operations
 * Strong troubleshooting skills in complex database environments
 * Experience with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning
 * Knowledge of database security and auditing practices
 * Experience with automation and scripting (such as PowerShell, T-SQL, PL/SQL, or similar tools)
 * Familiarity with database monitoring and alerting tools
 * Working knowledge of Oracle database administration (preferred)

## Description

Robert Half is seeking an experienced Database Administrator to manage and support enterprise database environments with a primary focus on Microsoft SQL Server. This role is responsible for ensuring database availability, performance, security, and reliability for critical business applications. The position requires a high level of independence, strong troubleshooting ability, and collaboration with development and infrastructure teams., * Administer, monitor, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments to ensure performance, reliability, and availability

 * Provide secondary support for Oracle database environments
 * Perform routine database maintenance including backups, restores, patching, upgrades, and health checks
 * Diagnose and resolve database performance issues, availability problems, and data integrity concerns
 * Design and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity solutions, including regular testing
 * Implement and maintain database security and access controls
 * Partner with application developers and infrastructure teams to support database-dependent systems
 * Support database platform upgrades, modernization efforts, and lifecycle management
 * Contribute to operational reporting related to backups, availability, and system health
 * Participate in on-call support for production database systems
 * Document database standards, procedures, and configurations
