PATTEN II * Two (2) years performing highly complex clerical duties with lead-worker, programmatically or accounting responsibilities. Proof of education is required for verification purposes at the time of application. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS In addition to the minimum qualifications, applicant screening will focus on the following desirable qualifications. Please list any of these qualifications you may have within the "Duties" section of the online application. * Two (2) years of experience in media or community organization relations, including the development of content for social media, websites, and other public-facing platforms. Application and Selection Procedures, * Pass County-paid pre-employment job-related background investigation. * Perform job duties in a manner assuring a safe working environment for oneself and others. * Maintain confidential information according to the legal standards and/or County regulations as required. * Some positions may be required to possess and maintain a valid California Driver's License and meet County insurability requirements. ## Description The Staff Services Technician performs a variety of technical and administrative support functions with a primary focus on multimedia production, communications support, and project coordination. Under general supervision, the incumbent is responsible for videography and photography, including planning, capturing, and editing visual content to support departmental operations, training, and public information efforts; develop and disseminate work assignments; and will perform other related work as required., * Carry out high level administration functions; * Support the complex administrative needs of staff; * Gather, coordinate, and organize information and data for required record keeping and reporting needs; * Maintain proficiency in the use of software and hardware utilized; * Coordinate and monitor materials required to be on hand; * Create and prepare statistical reports related to operational functions; * Interpret statistical data for department administrators; * Perform and supervise routine administrative and clerical tasks; and * Train, supervise, and evaluate clerical staff., * Modern office practices/record-keeping; * Statistical record keeping and reporting concepts, methods and techniques; * Data processing relating to budget control or payroll; * Principles and techniques of employee supervision; and * Spelling, grammar, and elements of proper writing procedures., Most County recruitments consists of the steps detailed below and are governed by Merit Principles. Applicants are invited to a panel interview in which they will be evaluated by County subject matter experts. * Eligible Lists. Candidates who pass the examination will be placed on an eligible list for that classification. Eligible lists are effective for six months but may be extended up to eighteen months., Part-time extra-help is a provisional classification where permanent status may not be obtained. This position is subject to overtime, standby, shift, and callback assignments and will perform related duties as assigned.
