Uploaded resumes and completed applications are the means of determination. * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or similar with three (3) years of related experience is required. * Must be 18 years of age. * Must be authorized to work and remain in the United States without SIMCO visa sponsorship now or in the future. * Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the WIPP Site (even if teleworking, must still be able to comply with security requirements to obtain a badge). * Non-U.S. citizens from countries identified by the Department of Energy as posing heightened security concerns-including sensitive countries, state sponsors of terrorism, countries of risk, and other designated countries -are subject to additional security requirements that limit site access. Preferred Requirements * Familiarity with Software Quality Assurance in an NQA-1 environment is desired. * Proficiency in Microsoft ASP.Net with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming, using Visual Basic or C#. * Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Infrastructure. * Broad knowledge of Microsoft SQL, including script writing, query tuning and index optimization. * Firm understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle. * Strong knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). * Previous WIPP experience is preferred. ## Description The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work with project participants to develop software requirements, translate those requirements into design documentation, and implement the design in code using Visual Basic.NET to produce finished software. The candidate is also expected to perform software maintenance and updates, write and execute Software Test Plans, and perform Software Quality Assurance actions during the Software Development Life Cycle. The candidate will interact with users providing application support and processing data change requests, as well as evaluating requests for changes to the software.
