## Description

apply engineering processes, design criteria, and software applications to design and construct power related systems. Supports estimate preparation, develops design options, and prepares construction specifications. Provide guidance, oversight, and quality assurance reviews for approved contractors as they develop design solutions, cost estimates, and construction packages. Job responsibilities include creating a safe work environment by putting safety first, understand the process used for planning, design, operation, construction, and maintenance, understanding the functions and activities of various internal departments involved in design, construction, and maintenance, understanding design practices and work processes, using all software applications used in design, include introductory engineering knowledge, basic problem-solving skills, limited discretion making independent decisions based on procedure and review with supervisor, basic discipline software knowledge, strong work ethic, positive attitude, and the ability to build effective relationships with plant staff, design engineering staff and/or vendors.
