A degree is not required. However, at least 2+ years of experience applying the outlined knowledge, skills, and abilities in a similar role may be considered. Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports: This role may be utilized in a supervisory capacity based on agency needs. ## Description The Research & Planning Division serves in a general research capacity for the entire agency, therefore the range of duties cover all ICJI divisions and research needs. The Research Analyst serves as the intermediary between the Division Directors and the Research Division and works to provide project direction and guidance. The Research Analyst is also responsible for working with Division Directors to promote the goals of research and data collection and aid in developing strategies for implementing research and technology initiatives., * Assists with transferring raw data to the appropriate location for use in data analysis projects. * Utilizes existing documentation and guidance from senior staff to wrangle, clean, and validate agency data sources. * Contributes to general analysis of agency datasets. * Conducts data quality checks to ensure the validity and cleanliness of agency datasets prior to their use in analysis and reporting. * Interprets data and from multiple sources using a variety of analytical techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation to data mining, to supporting statistical methodologies. * Develops compelling data visualizations to communicate findings to target audience(s). * Adheres to HIPAA, PII, PHI and other state statutes concerned with protecting data confidentiality and individual privacy.
