This role provides hands-on technical support for day-to-day operations, oversees network infrastructure, and serves as the City's primary point of contact for the third-party IT support provider. The position will lead the creation of IT policies, processes, and long-term technology planning to support City operations and future growth., Essential Job Functions: Establish IT procedures, standards, and support processes. Develop and implement IT policies, security practices, and technology plans. Set up workstations, devices, and user accounts. Assist in managing the ticketing process and resolve issues promptly. Provide user training and support for City systemsManage on-premise and cloud network/server environments. Monitor network performance, security, and uptime. Oversee backups, cybersecurity, and patching. Maintain switches, routers, firewalls, and Wi-Fi. Assist with infrastructure upgrades.Serve as primary contact for third-party IT provider. Coordinate responsibilities between vendor and City staff.
