## About the Role

* 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
 * Strong proficiency in C++ and Unreal Engine (UE5)
 * Experience completing a C++ technical coding challenge
 * Understanding of compiling, linking, and debugging C++ within the Unreal build system
 * Experience building real time 3D visualization, simulation, or interactive training applications
 * Basic space concepts (coordinate systems, time, orbital propagation)
 * Experience integrating external data into Unreal Engine
 * Strong problem solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
 * Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance

Preferred Requirements

 * Experience with Unreal Engine Blueprints, materials, Niagara particle systems, and level design.
 * Experience with multiplayer networking, dedicated servers, or distributed simulation in Unreal Engine.
 * Space domain awareness and combat power knowledge.
 * Math, physics, or computer graphics background.
 * Experience with performance profiling and optimization in Unreal Engine.

Adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements Software Engineer family.

## Description

HII Mission Technologies is seeking an Unreal Developer to help drive the development of high-fidelity real-time visualization and simulation applications using Unreal Engine. This work will support force structure planning, Digital Test and Training - Synthetic Environment, Joint Combatant Command analysis and operations support, Space Force testing and training, and research and development of space systems.

What You Will Do

 * Collaborate with the team using Confluence, Discourse, GitLab, and Jira
 * Perform code reviews and ensure high standards of software quality
 * Present status updates and progress to leadership and customers
 * Conduct multidisciplinary research in support of modeling and development goals
 * Contribute to team vision discussions and simulation software architecture planning
 * Design, develop, document, test, and debug space simulation software
